Client Setup Guide

Follow the steps to set up your account, plan, subscription, and connection. If you already have an account or subscription, continue from the relevant step.

Create an Account and Save Your Login Details

First, go to the account creation page in the X7VPN user dashboard. No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. Check your username carefully, choose a password you don't use on other sites, and save it in a trusted password manager. Your account gives you access to plans, subscriptions, and support tickets. Don't share your login details or subscription link with anyone else.

After submitting the form, follow the prompts to open the dashboard. If your username is unavailable, choose another and submit again. If you already have an account, sign in with it instead of creating a new one. Since account creation doesn't require an email address, don't assume you can recover your password by email. Save your login details securely when you set them up.

Once you're in the dashboard, make sure it shows the account you just used, then continue to choose a plan. Creating an account gives you access to the dashboard; it doesn't activate a subscription. Check the order payment status, plan status, and client connection status separately—they are not the same thing.

Choose a Plan and Check How It's Billed

Once your account is ready, open the plans section in the user dashboard. First, distinguish monthly plans from data packages, then compare their data allowances. Monthly plans reset their data allowance each month on the activation date; data packages remain valid until used up and never expire. A monthly plan may suit regular monthly usage, while a data package lets you decide when to top up based on the remaining data. Don't compare price alone—check that the billing method fits your needs.

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. All options support unlimited devices, but the number of devices and the data allowance are separate considerations: keep an eye on your account's data usage across all your devices. Review the full details on the pricing page.

Select a plan, then check the plan name, price, and billing method in your order. Follow the payment page instructions to pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. After payment, return to the dashboard to see whether the order has updated and confirm that the selected plan appears in your account overview. If the status hasn't updated yet, refresh the dashboard and check the original order. Don't place the order again straight away. If you still have questions, describe the issue in a support ticket from the dashboard.

X7VPN offers a 60-day money-back guarantee. See the refund policy for how to request a refund. If you need to change your monthly plan later, the price difference for an upgrade is converted into remaining days. For your first setup, just verify the connection with your current plan; there's no need to review every upgrade detail now.

Go to Plans

Get Your Subscription and Prepare to Import It

Once your plan is active, open the account overview in the user dashboard and find the subscription section. A subscription link isn't a regular web address; it's a credential that lets your client retrieve server settings. If the dashboard offers an import button for your client, use that option. For manual import, copy the entire link, keep it temporarily on your device's clipboard, then switch to the client.

Copy the full link—don't select only part of the address or remove anything after the question mark. Parameters at the end may be needed to identify your subscription. Missing characters, spaces, or line breaks can cause import to fail. This guide uses the sample URL https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN to show the format. It won't connect and cannot replace the actual subscription link in your account overview.

Don't share your actual subscription link in public chats, screenshots, online conversion tools, or the body of a support ticket. For troubleshooting, you usually only need to provide the client name, platform, error message, and step where the issue occurred. If a screenshot shows your subscription link, cover the entire address and any related credentials first. Protect your subscription as carefully as your account password.

Next, open the client section of the dashboard and choose your device's platform. The X7VPN clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux are available after you sign in; you don't need to have purchased a plan to get them. You do need an active subscription to connect. The iOS client is obtained differently, so follow the instructions in the section below. Once you have the client and subscription, continue with the import.

Import on Your Platform and Check the Server List

The process is the same on every platform: get the right client, add your subscription, update the configuration, and check that the server list appears. Prefer the X7VPN clients and import options listed in the dashboard. Don't download installers from unfamiliar sites with similar names. Even when automatic import succeeds, check that the configuration appears in the client instead of relying only on a browser redirect.

Windows: Add It in the Configuration or Subscription Section

In the user dashboard, select Windows in the client section, then download and install the X7VPN client as instructed. Open the app and find the “Configuration” or “Subscription” section. If the dashboard has an import button, leave the app open and trigger the import from the dashboard. If your browser asks to open the client, check which app it will open before confirming.

To add it manually, choose “Add subscription” or “Import from link” in the client, then paste the full address copied from your account overview. Save it and update the subscription. If custom names are supported, give the profile a name you can recognize. When the server list appears, make sure you're using the subscription you just imported, not an old or sample profile. Then continue to connection testing.

macOS: Approve the App, Then Add the Configuration

Select the X7VPN client for macOS in the dashboard, follow the instructions to install it, and open the app. If macOS asks you to confirm the app's source or network permissions, first verify where you got it and check the app name. Only grant permissions explicitly required by this installation. If macOS says the app can't be opened, note the exact message and check the dashboard instructions. Don't change system security settings just to proceed.

In the client, open configuration management or subscriptions, choose “Add from URL,” paste the subscription link, and save it. Then update the configuration. If the dashboard's automatic import option doesn't respond, make sure the client is running and try importing manually. Once the server list appears, select this profile and keep the default rules for now. First, check that the connection works.

Android: Import Your Subscription and Approve the Connection

Sign in to the user dashboard, select Android in the client section, and get the X7VPN client. Follow the system prompts and dashboard instructions to install it. Open the app and find the add option in the subscription or configuration section. Choose “Import from link,” paste the full subscription address, and update it. Confirm that the app has loaded the server list. If the dashboard offers automatic import, you can start there and then check the result in the app.

The first time you connect, Android may ask you to approve a VPN connection. Check the app name before allowing it. If another VPN connection is already active on your device, disconnect it before testing this client. Keep the app in the foreground during your first test. For issues such as disconnections in the background or after sleep, first confirm that the basic connection works, then see Connection and Troubleshooting.

iOS: Get and Import the Client as Instructed in the Dashboard

Select iOS in the dashboard's client section and follow the instructions to get the X7VPN client. The App Store link for iOS is available only to accounts with an active plan. If the dashboard asks you to choose a plan first, return to your account overview, check your plan status, and follow the prompts. Don't use an installer for another platform instead.

After installation, open the client and use the import option provided in the dashboard, or find subscription or configuration management in the app and choose “Add from link.” Save the address, update the subscription, and check that its servers appear. The first time you connect, iOS may ask permission to add a VPN configuration; follow the system prompts to approve it. Approval alone doesn't confirm that the service you need is accessible—you still need to test it below.

Linux: Use the Client Listed in the Dashboard

Linux users can also get the appropriate client from the dashboard's client section. Follow the instructions to install it, then add the subscription link in the configuration or subscription section. Permissions may work differently across distributions and desktop environments, so avoid reusing commands from other platforms or changing system network settings. For a more complete guide to checking and maintaining your setup, read the full user manual.

Connect to a Server and Verify It Works

Return to the client, select the updated subscription profile, choose a server, and connect. For your first test, choose a region that suits what you're accessing and keep the client's default rules. You can check server types and locations on the servers page. There's no need to start by changing advanced settings such as routing rules, DNS, or system routes.

After connecting, check the client status and actual access separately. The client should show an active connection without persistent errors. Then reopen the website or app you want to use and check whether it loads, lets you sign in, and supports the features you need. A VPN indicator in your system settings isn't a substitute for a real test. And if one website doesn't open, that doesn't mean every server is unavailable.

If the page you were using still shows an error, refresh it or close and reopen the app so it doesn't keep an error state from before the connection. If only one service has a problem, check that service's account, region, and usage rules. A server's exit region is only one factor in access; it doesn't automatically grant a platform membership, access to a particular content library, or eligibility to use an account.

If the client shows no servers, return to the subscription page and check that the address is complete and the configuration updated successfully. If servers appear but none connect, first make sure your local network is working. Then check that your account plan is active and has data available, and make sure no other proxy tool is running on the device. Change one setting at a time and test again so you can identify the cause.

Once connected, repeat the steps—get the client, import the subscription, and verify the connection—on another device. There is no device limit. Keep an eye on your plan and data status in the dashboard. If the server list changes, update the subscription in your client; you don't need to create another account.
